At the Cape of Good Hope, one of the largest migrations on earth begins for the thirty-kilometre-long swarm of billions of sardines. The cold water fish instinctively follow the cold current. A treat for the hundreds of thousands of Cape gannets waiting for the swarm. In a flash, they plunge into the water and dive like penguins to snap at their prey. But they are not the only danger lurking on the sardines’ journey.
