How wormholes carry information out of black holes

In 1974, Stephen Hawking plunged theoretical physics into a crisis: he argued that a black hole destroys information. According to Hawking’s calculations, it can lose mass and gradually disappear. It does this by emitting radiation — and that doesn’t appear to contain any information about the objects that fell into it beforehand. The history of the formation of the black hole would be irretrievably erased. However, this violates a sacred principle of quantum physics, according to which no information must be lost.

This is the so-called information paradox. It has proven to be an intractable mystery for five decades. In 2019, however, light slowly came into the darkness, also through research work in which I was involved. The approach is based on a new understanding of spacetime and how it can be spanned using quantum entanglements. This led me to the idea that part of the interior of a black hole could turn outward in a very specific way.
