Glaciers are melting faster: measurements in Austria
The glaciers in Austria have never melted as much as they did last year since measurements began 132 years ago. The Austrian Alpine Club (ÖAV) warned on Friday in its annual glacier report that the 89 observed glaciers had decreased by an average of 28.7 meters in 2022. In 2021 it was still eleven meters.
