Ten years ago, Marc Elsberg described the dangers of a week-long power blackout in Europe in his novel “Blackout”. This has been one of the greatest fears of some people since the energy crisis. In an interview with the RND, Elsberg explains which scenarios could actually lead to a blackout in Europe and which could not.
Mr. Elsberg, your novel Blackout was a huge success. He describes a catastrophic scenario – a week-long power outage across Europe. Has the book been selling better again since everyone was talking about the energy crisis?
